A Plant Personality

When looking at this plant I got the idea of a king showing off his crown. The diameter of this plant was for sure 4 feet or more. And there were several more like it in the Yogananda Meditation Garden in Encinitas, California.

Its Own Little World

Koi Pond and Waterfall

A tranquil scenery at Yogananda's Meditation Garden in Encinitas, California. People sit there meditating while watching the Koi fish swim by and playing. This garden is built on top of the cliffs with a wide view of the Pacific Ocean. Everyone can enjoy this peaceful place. A walk trough the gardens is like traveling in a tropical world with many exotic plants.

High up on the Cliff

Yogananda's Mansion

The Mansion is built on top of the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Paramahansa Yogananda was an Indian monk, yogi and guru who introduced millions to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga. He lived from 1893 to 1952, the last 32 years in America.

Pacific Ocean View

High up on a cliff above the Pacific is this outstanding Meditation Garden in Encinitas, California. It offers spectacular ocean views and a unique inspirational setting where one can pray, meditate, or just sit quietly enjoying the beauty in nature. Every time we are in Southern California we take the time to visit the garden.

Angel Trumpets

Across the street from Yogananda's Meditation Garden in Encinitas, California, this beautiful Brugmansia Cherub plant was showing off its gorgeous Angel Trumpets. Afterwards we went into the garden and were impressed by the serenity of the place, which is situated way up on the cliff above the Pacific Ocean.
