By 1907, Rhyolite had electric lights, water mains, telephones, newspapers, a hospital, a school, an opera house, 50 saloons and a stock exchange. After a few years the ore and gold was finished and people started leaving, only a few stayed behind, until it was declared a Ghost town in 1920.
