Coming down Hwy 190 right as the sun sets behind the mountains. Very quickly it will be really dark.

The Structure of the Rocks
The different colors of the rock were attracting my attention. The dark rock looked shiny like lava. There are a number of dead volcanoes in Death Valley. This was on Hwy 190 in Death Valley, California. The sun was low already and the road was dark.

Colorful Mountains
The mountains above Death Valley show up in the most amazing colors from copper-red to volcano lava-black to purple mountains in the distance. This was seen from Hwy 190 coming from Panamint Springs going down into the Death Valley in California.
